Week 9: Preproduction and Layout

Well, week 9 has been eventful! I've still been struggling with hacking the Wolf's rig appropriately (adding new joints and buffers and controllers and constraints that are connected but still independent of the existing rig is an interesting process), but Arne and Signe's segmented rigs are completed and I even have rough clothing set up for Arne and added to his rig! Signe's clothing is still being figured out a bit, but now that I've figured out some ways to make Arne's clothing, I feel pretty confident in figuring out Signe's more complex outfit and adding it to her segmented rig! Also a fun addition as I go further into 3D: I'm setting up proxy environments and rough camera layouts for some of my shots already! I'm planning on having most of my film's background art and environment be 2D paintings, but having proxy environments will help me figure out the layouts of each environment, along with figuring out how the characters will actually interact with the environment as I begin layout animations. It's been an interesting process, but actually has been pretty fun to do when taking a break from rigging struggles!
